Greg holds a NZ Order of Merit and is a leadership expert, having led others continuously since he was 17.
Greg is a Strategic Advisor and Executive Leadership Coach with the Advisory.Works He also leads our Research and Development to ensure we are at the forefront of business thinking, knowledge and practice.
He has been in leadership positions continuously since he was 17 and has led organisations up to 500 strong. Greg’s leadership experience is from great combination of the military, public, private and not-for-profit sectors. He is also a graduate of Massey and Canberra Universities.
He has facilitated, lead and coached considerable strategy and executive leadership work. Notably he was appointed as a Member of NZ Order of Merit (MNZM) in 2006 New Years Honours for his strategy and execution work with Afghan security forces supporting successful Presidential elections in Bamyan Province.
Greg’s expertise is founded in strategic and operations planning and management; coaching, training and facilitation; leadership of change and transformation; and the development and maintenance of key stakeholder relationships. He now enjoys giving back to other learners as a part-time lecturer at CPIT.
Greg also managed to find the time to write and publish a book, “Keeping the Peace – A Kiwi’s Modern Conflict Experiences” which describes his experiences as a leader in Angola, Bougainville, Kuwait, East Timor, Afghanistan and Iraq. In his ‘spare time’ he and his family enjoy a beach and outdoors lifestyle, and Greg has a passion for surfing and mountain biking.
